What is OneVolt?
OneVolt enables EV charging stations to take payments via a credit card or mobile phone without the need for apps or registering for an account. OneVolt provides a simple web app that an end user can use to activate the charging station easily. No Phone? No problem. Using a CopperFox Digital terminal on the EV charging station provides the end user with a simple touch interface to pay with a debit or credit card. This also gives users realtime information about the state of charge.
How does it work?
OneVolt hardware communicates with EV charging stations of all makes and models with industry standard protocols such as OCPP, OCPI and MDB. This allows for two way communication between the payment device and the EV charger. This enabled OneVolt to provide real time information to site owners, customers and third party charging information facilities such as PlugShare®.
